Statement from the Office of the Chancellor Orlando, FL April 2024 We, the Office of the Chancellor and on behalf of the Order of the Independent Jewish Crew of America, hereby affirm our unwavering support for the State of Israel in its efforts to defend its citizens against acts of terrorism perpetrated by Hamas on October 7th. We stand in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters who are courageously facing the threats both on the battlefield and in the holy state of Israel. Furthermore, we are deeply concerned about the rise of antisemitism on college campuses. It is imperative that these Universities address and rectify this issue to ensure that all Jewish people, both student and staff feel safe and respected. We condemn all forms of antisemitism and pledge to work tirelessly to combat it. There must be investigations held to account for why there is such a rise of blatant discrimination and hatred against people of the Jewish faith. There are millions of Jews, Israelis, Palestinians, Muslims and Christians living in peace in Israel and across the world. Additionally, we denounce individuals who espouse anti-Semitic views and harbor hatred towards America who are currently calling for the destruction of America and Israel. Shame, shame, shame. Such sentiments have no place in our society and must be unequivocally condemned. In the United States, we are privileged by the founders, by the constitution, and by our government to do just like the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Junior and Mahatma Gandhi practiced, peaceful protests! There is no place for violent civil disorder and tumultuous cacophony. We urge all to stand together in solidarity against hatred and division, and to work towards building a more inclusive and respectful environment for all. Sincerely, Cantor Izak J. Held, II Chancellor Order of The independent Jewish Crew of America Izak J. Held
