IJC Announces the retirement of former Vice Chancellor and current Ambassador Ariel Smith. Today, April 21st 2017, The IJC announces the retirement of former Vice Chancellor and current Ambassador Ariel Smith. "Smitty" as known to many here at the IJC, has been an integral leader since 2011. Ariel has served over the course of his time here in many leadership roles. In 2011 Ariel joined the IJC Board, he then served as Treasurer and Vice Chancellor for Finance for several years. In 2015 he became General Counsel, a Managing Director and the Chief Compliance Officer. Most recently Chancellor Finkel appointed Ariel as an Ambassador to the Eastern Region and as the Associate Executive Director of Regions. In his most recent role, Ariel has developed the associations ambassadorship program that has allowed the IJC to serve its members in more effective and efficient practices.
