​Dear Association,

We are excited to announce the following year end announcements. 


The IJ Crew Association's Chartered Board of Regents has unanimously elected Hannah Finkel as the fourth chancellor of The Association. The vote took place after the acceptance of our third chancellor, Gavi Smith's nomination for Finkel, Gavi chaired the search committee. Chairman of the board Jensen L. Greif will appoint Chancellor-Elect Finkel to her term in January of 2016. With Gavi Smith's retirement, we thank him for his 5 years service to the association where he served 3 years as our chancellor and 2 years as superintendent of the education commission. Gavi will still have a place at the association as Chancellor Emeritus and advise on a board position basis.

Finkel most recently was a IJC's Vice Chancellor an integral part of Chancellor Smith's cabinet. Her extensive background as a professional includes, senior vice president at the Tamid Group at George Washington University and a fellow at Hasbara Fellowships. Finkel served as captain at the Gann Academy of Massachusetts, as well as serving on the board of New England NCSY. Finkel’s Bachelors Degree is from George Washington University where she is an avid supporter of the State of Israel.

Additional updates to departments include Joseph Miller joining the office of advancement as west coast regional director. We also acknowledge Jack Levine adding to the office of communications as director of sales and promotion. The board is proud to announce the additions of Gav Apfel, Eric Nirenberg and Sgt. Ilya Bratman.

We wish a farewell, as we thank Judah Willig for his time at IJC as he is retiring from the association as assistant dean of the association. We also thank the following board members who's terms are ending as of year end: Dylan Kaufman, Rabbi Abe Mostofsky and Dean Sgt. Yisroel Kalker.
