Noam Edry Izak Held Yisroel Ziegler Director of Public Relations Executive Director Assistant Executive Director This past Thursday August 21, The IJ Crew Association held a conference in East Stroudsburg, PA during the annual Central East Regional Convention. Former Regional Director, Abe Mostofsky welcomed his successor Avi Schmeltz, as well as new Association director of policy Elliot Tanzman. IJC Dean, Izak Held and director Hillel Jacobson also attended the conference along with other leaders from vast major organizations.
Board members Jeffery Smulevitz, Mathew Heideman, and IJC Member Avi Martin also joined the annual major conference. Dear Association:
Since assuming the presidency of IJ Crew more than 1 ½ years ago, I have continued to search for ways to improve the organizational efficiency and effectiveness of the Association. As you know, one result of this process has been our “Institutional Effectiveness” initiative. Today, I am pleased to announce three major changes in the organization of the Association's senior executive team as part of this same effort. 1. Our organization has been going through many different aspects of change as we coincide with institutional and academic trends. The results of the election of the following open board positions are as follows: Vice President- Azi Fine Secretary- Rebecca Ringelheim Trustee- Josh Deschino Board Regent: Miriam Edry Board Regent: Dyan Kaufman Board Regent: Liat Brody Board Regent: Rafi Moskowitz Board Regent: Alex Porcelain 2. For many years, IJ Crew has been at the leading edge of information and technology services within our organizational aspects. Much of our success in this area can be attributed to the expertise, management ability and vision of Rabbi Abe Mostofsky, who has served as our vice president since 2010. Mostofsky will now serves as Managing Director, overseeing our Information and Technology systems. 3. Making the move to Vice President Azi Fine will continue only to also serve as our chief of staff. Because of this matter we are happy to announce that Sender Gross will now be our Associate Executive Director. He will work alongside Executive Director Izak Held and take on the sphere in our corporate office. 4. Two of the most pleasant discoveries that I made at the start of my term as President were the enormous strides that the Association had made over the past seven years in (a) improving its overall quality and the retention of membership services and (b) the vitality and strength of its staff and administration programs. It is no coincidence that both of these success stories have occurred during the tenure—and under the inspired and creative leadership of Daniel Kurman in his role as Executive Assistant/Registrar. Kurman will now continue his success as Director of Programs. This has lead us to offer a newly merged two positions of Director of Admissions & Registrar to now our former Secretary of the Board, Daniel Zylberberg. Please join me in congratulating our promoted associates. I ask that you give them your full support and cooperation in their new roles. Gavi Smith, President & Jensen Greif, Chairman of the Board You are now able to contact the southern region of the IJ crew association at (561) 692-6000.
